"Making the Difference for Florence Crittenton Girls"

The mission of Florence Crittenton is to give every girl whose life we touch safety, hope and opportunity. We build strong families, healthy teens and self-sufficient young adults through education, counseling, a safe haven for girls and social support. In the therapeutic group home setting, Florence Crittenton seeks to provide a variety of opportunities whereby girls are able to realize and reach their full potential. One of the many ways we are able to ensure that our girls have every opportunity to succeed is through the support of the Valley of the Sun Active 20-30 Club #1028.

With the wonderful support of the Active 20-30 Club, Florence Crittenton girls are exposed to educational, cultural, social, and recreational opportunities to which they may not otherwise be exposed. The 20-30 members are positive role models who provide an example of consistency and stability. Through their interaction with the 20-30 members, Florence Crittenton girls are able to explore positive decision making and social skills, career choices, healthy recreation and community involvement. Without question, the therapeutic process for our girls is further promoted because of the positive opportunities and interactions provided by the Active 20-30 Club.

In addition to the positive difference made by the hands-on volunteerism of the 20-30 members, their financial support is also key to supporting services offered to youth. Through their financial support, the Valley of the Sun Active 20-30 Club #1028 has played a key role in the expansion of our programs and services, which has enabled us to serve an even greater number of youth who are in need.
