Visit www.woco2008.org and register now for WOCO 2008. August 2008 seems like a long time away, but in the world of WOCO, the convention in Las Vegas is just around the corner. It will be held the first week of August and will be a combination of Active 20-30 US & Canada, Activo 20-30 International, Round Tables and Ladies Circles World Wide. It promises to be a huge event, with opportunities to meet people from all over the globe with that share common interests that binds all our organizations in “Friendship”. There are plenty of opportunities to get involved with this once in a lifetime experience. We invite you to visit the WOCO website (www.woco2008.org). We encourage you to register ASAP; registration is limited due to the venues and meeting space. We anticipate to be a sold out by the time our delegates return from Cyprus September 1, 2007. We hold two membership drives per year. During those membership drives prospective members are required to attend three meetings and one "hands-on" event within a designated period of time as well as pay a $30 application fee to be paid no later than your second meeting. After completing the prospective requirements, prospective members are voted in by the board. How often does the club meet? We meet on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month. Meeting locations may change and additional meetings (Executive or standing committee meetings) may be scheduled. Focus and Goals The primary emphasis of Valley of the Sun Active 20-30 Club is fundraising and organized hands-on activities with charity and nonprofit organizations. The Club's current beneficiary is Florence Crittenton, a shelter for teen-age girls. To raise money for its charities, the club organizes fundraising events each year.
